Rose began her “side hustle” career as an eyebrow and makeup artist, over 30 years ago, as a Theatre Arts major at University. After college she immersed herself in Corporate America where she quickly climbed the ranks to the executive Human Resources level where she mastered the art of recruiting, hiring, training and employee relations. After working in Corporate America for a decade, while still freelancing in the beauty arena (her true passion), she decided to change gears at the age of 40 in an effort to obtain three of her current beauty licenses.
Rose is currently a licensed cosmetic tattooist, esthetician and electrologist living in Miami, Florida where she owns and operates a private PMU and aesthetics practice, “Beauty and Brow Lounge”. She has dedicated her career to empowering and mentoring the PMU artist, and it is through her passion for education that propelled her to write a USEFUL GUIDE series for the permanent makeup arena. Her first book HOW MELANIN & FITZPATRICK INFLUENCE THE COSMETIC TATTOO was the topic of her presentation at the 2021 SPCP annual convention. Her second book IN THE SKIN is a love-letter to the PMU artist who is not trained and educated in the skin yet who wants to excel in the art of micropigmentation. She is currently writing her third book THE PMU BEAUTY BOSS in an effort to further empower and educate PMU artists, across the world, about how to grow and thrive in their beauty businesses.
Rose is also a published freelance beauty writer (since 2013), the host of a beauty blog BEAUTY AND BROW GIRL, the “Marketing Chair” board member for the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals (SPCP) and a regular contributor to the SPCP digital publication, the “PC BUZZ”, as well as a contributor to the SPCP monthly newsletter. She is a PMU industry speaker, a PMU event emcee, and is the host of her own beauty podcast THE BEAUTY LOUNGE.
Rose’s mission has always been to lead other artists in an effort to empower them based on the mistakes that she has made in her own business. She has yet to meet a coaching client of hers with a problem that she has not faced herself. She would consider her greatest asset to be her fearless attitude which has helped her create a multi-6-figure business working only 4 days a week (the time she spends with her family trumps working 24/7). She has always pushed herself to take risks including a leap she made in 2010 when she collaborated with the famed Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, after making a cold call to their marketing department.
Rose quickly earned rapport with the executive staff and went on to collaborate with Fontainbleau for 2 summer-seasons of “Spa Month” in Miami Beach Florida, where she established a pop-up brow shoppe in the center of Lapis Spa. She also came to become the featured writer for the hotel’s in-house bridal magazine, and her popular “5 Beauty Tips for the Bride-to-Be” article helped hundreds of brides achieve their best look prior to their wedding day.
Rose has been a PMU industry mentor for over a decade, but has found her true calling through the PMU Coaching platform where she thrives to enthusiastically lead her clients up the pathway towards their unique business goals.
